Dugdheswarnath Mandir

Dugdheswarnath temple reflects the name of Lord Shiva. This temple is situated at Rudrapur, 20 KM away from Deoria District. (Near Kushinagar the place of Buddha). This temple speaks the history of Satasi Raj, which was the kingdom of Satasi Raj Rudrapur.
There are some story which was told by our ancestor that there was a person called as Dudhai, he was having some cows. So everyday he was coming to that ground for the for grazing to those cows. Some cows were giving milk so each evening when he was trying to get the milk he was not getting single drop of milk. He was in trouble that after so much hard work he is not getting single drop of milk, where is going? Then he thought something is wrong. Everyday he started inspecting to cows by escaping. One day he found the the cow is standing near one place and milk was droping. He went very near and saw that there was a piece of stone, Milk was getting down & that stone was sucking the milk. Every day he used to come with goad, he took the goad & stroke on that stone that stone cracked. He went his home & slept. In the night he saw a dream "that stone is my statchu" Lord Shiva told.
On Dudhai name this temple named as Dugdheswarnath

Next day he went to that place & try to dug but he couldn't, he tried so many time but he couldn't took that statchu. After that people started worshiping over there & people made a huge shiva temple there.

From that time every year on the mahashivaratri & Srawan month  so many visitors come there to worship.
